In which a two-year work in progress finally sees an end.

I’m excited to finally be able to share this project with you: a short little illustrated thing about Homer, with a bit from the Iliad just for fun.

This was intended to be a much longer work, specifically a graphic novel interpretation of Homer’s Iliad.
The original idea was very ambitious, and I had so much trouble sticking to a single style of retelling. I can’t even tell you how many times I stopped following one track and started over with another one.

As I continue to navigate life while being disabled, I am trying to find a good balance between achieving creative goals while keeping those goals realistic. I am trying to avoid over-exerting myself or adding further stress to my life by placing the finish line so much farther away than I can hope to reach, because obviously that won’t be productive, and not very good for my mental health either!
As I said up at the top, this has been a work-in-progress for roughly two years. The form it has ultimately taken is short and light-hearted; it’s essentially a blog post with super spiffy formatting. Regardless, I hope you will find it an enjoyable read. 🙂
Holy cannoli, I just laughed my buttocks off!
