Short and Sweet WTF

A book and creative lifestyle blog

short, sweet, and occasionally strange since 7/4/2016

A plan emerges

I’ve been going on about how close I am to being ready to start sharing Kawaii Sky with you guys, and I am now really, really super close…ish…I have the final draft of the prologue, and a plan for the rest of the book. If you want to see the roadmap, keep reading; if you want to be surprised, just keep scrolling.

So, executive summary: The final plan for the book is a digital-only publication consisting of a prologue and twelve chapters (one for each zodiac sign). Each chapter can be read as a self-contained, standalone adventure that consists of a short story (I’m aiming for a length of about 500 or so words) and an activity for you, the reader, to complete. There are different types of activities with varying levels of difficulty; I’m still working on figuring out a good mix that offers the right amount of variety and challenge.

I’ll be posting each chapter here on the blog as soon as they’re finished and beta read. Once I’ve finished all of them, I’ll compile them into a free ebook.

Because each chapter is self-contained, they can be read in any order and so I don’t feel compelled to try to stick to writing and posting in any sort of fixed order. Right now, it’s looking like I’ll probably finish Leo first, but we’ll see how it shakes out in the end.

In between chapters of Kawaii Sky, I plan to continue posting the usual assortment of art posts and book reviews (there are also a handful of video games I want to review as well). Chronic fatigue continues to be chronically fatiguing, so as usual, all will gain in its own good time.

The featured image in this part is a stock image from shutterstock; I love it because it really captures the vibe of my creative process for this project.

Anyhow, I’ll be posting the prologue as soon as it’s been beta read and final edits made, so that should be coming soon. Again, I know I keep saying that, but this time I’m sincere! (mad props to anyone who gets that reference)

Thanks for reading and see you next time!
