The Mummy Paper Theater

Inspired by the movie The Mummy, I decided to make an easy printable paper theater for Halloween this year. Look inside this post for everything you need to make your own!

Template

I designed this printable to try and minimize the amount of ink it will require from your home printer, which is why the walls on the side flaps are black and white. Color them in to match!

Gluing the glue flaps is actually not entirely necessary if you sharpen your creases well. I did not glue mine and as you can see, it stands up fine.

My colored pencils appear to be missing in action, so the side walls remain uncolored. I used regular printer paper which probably won’t hold up well to markers (my preferred medium).

Once you have the theater assembled, you can add props to fill out your scene. I added a rock and cat figurine in homage to Imhotep’s fear of cats:

No evil mummies will be escaping while Guardian Cat is on duty.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful spooky season this year! Tune in on Halloween for another The Mummy-themed post about the flesh-eating scarabs featured in the movie.
